The Next Organization has welcomed a new consultant: Mart Klinkert. He talks about his move, onboarding, and how he has experienced his first few months.
Mart Klinkert has been on board as a Junior Consultant since September. Prior to this, he completed a Master's in Strategic Innovation Management at the University of Groningen.
“After my studies, I explored the consultancy sector and worked with various firms. Through Consultancy.nl, I found The Next Organization. The firm's areas of expertise align well with what I enjoy and what I want to develop further,” explains Mart.
Continu uitgedaagd
It was primarily the variety, steep learning curve, and dynamism that drew him to the consultancy profession. “What appeals to me about consultancy is the variety of project types and the opportunity to gain insight into different organisations. No two issues are the same, which means you are constantly challenged to use your knowledge and creativity.”
He is now fully experiencing this himself at The Next Organization. The office in Bussum focuses on strategic and commercial issues, both domestically and internationally.
“Working on strategic issues was a big achievement for me – not only because of the issues themselves, but also because of the impact,” Mart indicates. “Precisely because of the enormous speed at which innovation develops nowadays, thinking ahead is more important than ever.”
He's now involved in various assignments. “The projects are challenging but differ greatly in nature and content. That not only makes the work varied, but above all, very educational. No two weeks are the same here!”
Open and stimulating
The “open and warm culture” makes Mart feel right at home at The Next Organization, as he explains. “The working atmosphere is open and stimulating, with plenty of room to ask questions and take initiative. You can tell that everyone is willing to help you move forward.”
Furthermore, Mart can always turn to a coach for questions about his development or career path. “My coach has guided me through the organisation and is ready to offer support when needed. That's a great comfort to know.”
With two successful months behind him, Mart is certainly looking forward to what's to come: “I'd like to continue helping our clients with their challenges and to keep developing myself as a consultant.”
