Approach
Identify business needs
To make the right choice for the best-fit solution, we first map out the business needs together with our customer. We determine how future business processes should be set up and, based on this, what the IT system must be able to do to successfully operationalise the new strategy. The business needs are captured in a vision document with business requirements, a list of current and desired process descriptions and a request for proposal (RFP).
Selecting solutions
With the RFP, we contact potential suppliers to see what they can do for our client. Together with the client, we assess proposals based on the previously identified business requirements. Depending on business needs, solutions may include reuse of existing systems and/or integration of new systems and may be standard or customised. We invite the suppliers with the best-fit proposals for a pitch. We then assist our client in selecting the best solution and conducting contract negotiations.
Implementing solutions
During implementation, together with the customer and the chosen supplier, we determine the final scope of the project and the project schedule. Next, we will build and test the solution and then go live. Throughout this entire step, we are the link between our customer and the supplier. If required, we take care of:
- Project governance - organising steering committees in which one sets direction, makes decisions and oversees
- Project delivery management - in addition to project management, we are involved in scope, budget and content
- Change management - guiding and training employees to work with the new solution
