In March, Imme Degreef started her career as a consultant at The Next Organisation. A conversation about her choice of management consulting and her first experiences in the sector.
Imme Degreef brings some four years of work experience to The Next Organization. In recent years, she worked as New Business Developer at sustainability organisation Zonnefabriek, where she gained knowledge on developing new sustainable propositions at home and abroad.
Her choice of consulting came from her desire to contribute to the growth of various companies in different sectors, and to make commercial impact.
"My passion lies in driving commercial innovation, not losing sight of sustainability," says Imme. "My goal is to use my experience and creativity to help our clients innovate, aimed at both improving results and promoting a sustainable future."
Imme is now fulfilling this mission at The Next Organisation. After six weeks on board, she already dares to cautiously state that she has made a good choice. "The Next Organization works on a wide range of projects. This diversity in projects offers valuable development opportunities."
Imme herself is already involved in several projects. "Because you do several projects at the same time with different content, the work is very dynamic," she says. She expects this to lead to rapid personal growth. "Each project brings new challenges, this allows me to delve into complex issues."
With her move to The Next Organisation, Imme consciously chose an organisation that works on both strategy and implementation. "Coming up with an innovative plan is fun for me, but to then also contribute to the roll-out of innovative ideas and see the plan become reality, I find even more inspiring."
What also contributes enormously to her pleasant start, Imme finally stresses, are her colleagues. "Everyone is ready to support each other where necessary. In addition, there is an informal atmosphere among themselves and colleagues also really have fun together, which bodes well. I am really energised by the entrepreneurial and dynamic atmosphere and the enthusiastic team."
